Simplicity Has Awesome Benefits
When we think of living simply, thoughts of clean desks, homes devoid of clutter and kitchen counters that are clean come to mind, but simplicity is much more than this.
Simplicity has more to do with ways of thought and mindsets than it has to do with decisions and actions that those who so live take.
Some of the advantages of simple living are listed hereunder.
We live in a world where everything moves fast and events seem to take place at a dizzying speed but those who live simply develop the kind of mindset and attitude that enables them to keep calm and sober and not adopt a reactive response to what happens around them.
When things get a little too busy and seem to get more complicated by the day, simplicity is the attitude that helps you keep sane so that you don’t act in a rush and end up saying or doing things that you didn’t intend to say or do. Simple living calls us to be a little more introspective and thoughtful and to take our time before we give our responses, turning potentially bad situations to ones we can easily manage.
We sit back and take stock of our personal lives, and make a conscious decision to get out of our lives whatever situation or individuals that are no longer supportive to our values and personal aspirations-things such as debt or a crappy job. We suddenly find that our lives no longer drive us,and that we have all the time we need to do that which truly matters to us. We find time to do important things such as meditation.
You are not always worried about money, debts, and relationships that no longer work ,and this makes you experience real inner personal power-your health will appreciably improve. You will create time for exercise and recreation and this will greatly boost your health.
When we wrestle our lives away from the power of gadgets such as computers and black berries,we will find that we have become more attentive to that person with whom we share our life.
Simple living is about massive personal freedom, we cut out crap that is oppressive to us and discard standards that have been set by others for us.
Since we need less and less to be happy in life,we have more and more resources to share with others and this makes us feel good about ourselves.
Simplicity as a way of life is something you may want to give some thought to as the benefits to be derived from it are many and amazing.
